About the Curriculum

IM K-12 Math is a problem-based core curriculum designed to address content and practice standards to foster learning for all. Students learn by doing math, solving problems in mathematical and real-world contexts, and constructing arguments using precise language.

According to EdReports, an independent nonprofit that reviews K–12 instructional materials, IM 6-8 Math and IM 9–12 Math met all expectations across all three gateways for focus, coherence, rigor, mathematical practices, and usability.

It’s nice to know that in these trying times, IM is thinking around all the possibilities and has supports and plans for the different teaching that will happen this Fall. I feel like I can contact the company if I have a question, and I also feel supported in having a plan on what to teach, when to teach, and resources that are available…IM has been very thorough in this process.

Anna Blakeslee, Math Specialist, Oregon

It is reassuring that IM authors understand the circumstances of our teachers and students that the pandemic created.  The direction is clear, coherent, and the materials are easily accessible for all stakeholders.  Illustrative Mathematics is a partner for student learning, and continues to evolve to meet the needs of students and teachers.
